    Job summary

    Use your technical skills to help us improve our customer-facing solutions. The Red Hat Customer Platform Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Quality Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will develop automated tests for a functional area of a solution within our extensive portfolio of offerings. To do so successfully, you'll first need to understand the solution's architecture and how it integrates with other offerings. As a Quality Engineer, you will serve as an individual contributor of the team and interact with other team members and developers.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Define automated test strategies, methodologies, processes, and procedures
    • Investigate and recommend test architecture and associated infrastructure pieces to support the QE methodology, process, and procedures
    • Investigate and recommend testing and automation tools
    • Contribute to weekly team meetings
    • Provide an accurate and timely status of automated testing efforts and quality statistics to the product leadership team

    Required skills

    • Bachelor's degree in IT or computer science with 3-5 years of related experience
    • Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Ruby
    • Expertise in user interface (UI) automation using Selenium or other open source tools
    • Expertise in API and HTTP communication and performance testing of web applications
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
