Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Enterprise Sales Account Manager with experience selling high-tech products and services to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you'll build new relationships and expand business with existing customers within an assigned territory or industry. You will be responsible for all aspects of the sale, including price negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment. You will also coordinate internal resources, including sales engineering and technical support. This position gives you the opportunity to work with partner sales and services organizations, as well as IT and business executives, to develop and carry out sales plans.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Sell Red Hat solutions and services to valued enterprise customers
  • Create strategic and tactical plans for new business development and lead the extended sales team in using them to maximize revenue and growth
  • Promote our platform, management, and middleware software subscriptions
  • Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and price quotes
  • Develop sustainable revenue across technology lines
  • Accurately forecast and close sales that align with company goals
  • Understand customers' business and technology product needs and communicate those to executives

Required skills

  • 10+ years of direct sales management experience, preferably in the IT software and services industry
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in business, marketing, or a technical discipline
  • Knowledge of UNIX or Linux systems with a passion for open source technology
  • Understanding of complete sales cycle management, from prospecting to closing (Linux or UNIX sales cycles would be a plus)
  • Ability to articulate technological strategies to a wide range of decision-makers within an organization, including technical, business, and executive audiences
  • Demonstrated understanding of companies and opportunities that exist within your assigned territory or industry
