    Job summary

    Lead on-site delivery and implementation of great technology that delivers freedom, flexibility, choice, and premium performance. The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a OpenShift Consultant to join us in Mumbai, India. In this role, you'll gain an understanding of our customer's infrastructure and business issues, and make appropriate recommendations for enterprise Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions. This role is ideal for you if you want to expand your core base of middleware knowledge and work in a fast-paced environment promoting Red Hat solutions.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Implement enterprise solutions based on OpenShift by Red Hat, integrating with Red Hat OpenStack Platform and similar Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) technologies, as well as application development tools and software life cycle processes
    • Create modern application platform automation solutions based around containers and container orchestration, using technologies like Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host, Docker, and Kubernetes
    • Collaborate with project and client team members to meet timelines and goals
    • Contribute to project documentation and diagrams, including quality assurance and ticket and bug management
    • Mentor and transfer knowledge to clients
    • Work with senior associates to increase adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve software delivery, including business and IT alignment, infrastructure and application uptime and availability, and time-to-market
    • Design and advocate solutions using cloud technologies, design principles, integration points, and automation methods
    • Standardize open source Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and DevOps solutions delivery in services playbooks and solutions
    • Guide presales conversations, discovery sessions, and solutions development around DevOps and application platform automation

    Required skills

    • 7-10 years of experience with enterprise-wide deployments
    • Advanced knowledge of OpenShift by Red Hat and Ansible by Red Hat
    • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
    • Deep understanding of Linux internals, including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, bug fix updates, and core builds
    • Thorough knowledge of system management, clustering and storage management, virtualization, and directory server
    • Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders and diverse audiences
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and customer management skills
    • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or ability to pursue certification within 30 days of hire
