    Job summary

    Build and lead a team of highly skilled product sales specialists and product specialist solutions architects to help our customers across India and South Asia. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Manager for the Regional Sales team to join us in either Bangalore, Delhi, or Mumbai, India. In this role, you will work closely with the India Leadership team as well as Asia Pacific (APAC) business teams within Red Hat to define the go-to-market strategies for high growth technology solutions like Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Ansible by Red Hat, Red Hat CloudForms, CloudSuite and Cloud Infrastructure, Red Hat Storage, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, and Red Hat 3Scale API Management Platform. This is a sales-driven, quota-oriented role where you will be expected to guide large, complex customer engagements. We will need you to bring a solid network of relationships and a detailed understanding of the Indian IT landscape. You will strive for organizational excellence, be involved in coaching and mentoring talent, as well as engaging both internal and external stakeholders in making Red Hat India a fun and better place to work.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Build, lead, and develop a team of experienced sales specialists and specialist solutions architects in guiding comprehensive engagement with stakeholders in the assigned segment
    • Work with Red Hat's local and regional leadership teams to establish go-to-market strategies for Red Hat's emerging technology infrastructure and cloud solutions portfolio
    • Define the partner strategy and selection for Red Hat's emerging technology infrastructure and cloud solutions portfolio in conjunction with the local partner team
    • Manage the product sales pipeline and report key metrics to local management for Red Hat's emerging technology infrastructure and cloud solutions portfolio
    • Lead the Marketing and event strategy for Red Hat's emerging technology infrastructure and cloud solutions portfolio and assist with the implementation
    • Own the engagement activities with Red Hat's regional and global business and product engineering teams in India region
    • Manage delivery to plan, pipeline creation, guiding linearity, guiding optimal wallet-share with customers; maintain partnering strategy for the assigned segment

    Required skills

    • 15+ years of sales management experience in a solutions sales role in a company with multiple offerings and services offerings
    • 6+ years as a people manager leading a geographically distributed technical sales specialists and presales specialists team
    • Solid and rich portfolio of relationships with the Indian marketplace
    • Deep understanding of the technologies like Cloud, Middleware, Automation, and Containers
    • Prior experience in leading sales teams and guiding top notch outcomes with the teams
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to flawlessly implement strategy
    • Extensive technical sales experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, IT automation, Middleware, or cloud technologies
    • Good communication and technical skills that enable customer relationship development at engineering, commercial, and executive levels
    • Excellent ability to understand customer business challenges and map these to technology solutions requirements
    • Ability to produce a narrative for customers around a broad portfolio of solutions that meet business objectives and lead digital transformation discussions
    • Passion for open source and modern software technologies
    • Proven ability to work seamlessly with global, cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers
    • Balance of strategic, tactical, technical, and creative-thinking skills
    • Thorough understanding of business processes, IT buying patterns, and IT infrastructure trends and problems currently faced by enterprise customers
