    Job summary

    The Red Hat Global Partners and Alliances team is looking for a Senior Solutions Specialist Architect to join us in New Delhi, India. In this role, you'll be the front line catalyst with partners, creating possibilities, solving problems, and establishing working relationships with the partners. You will help our partners develop solutions, frameworks, and point of view on open source technology adoption for their customers. You will support the Global Alliance teams in building and maintaining relationships with partners. As a Senior Solutions Specialist Architect, you'll need a balance of serious technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and create business solutions across multiple technology platforms at the enterprise level.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Communicate between Partner and Red Hat teams to shape their decisions toward the adoption of open source solutions
    • Collaborate with businesses to evaluate goals, identify needs, prepare a plan, and engage with partners
    • Act as a trusted adviser to the partner and assist technology stakeholders in setting and delivering on expectations
    • Maintain a detailed understanding of industry practices and competitive offerings through project experience and training
    • Work cross-functionally with Red Hat global teams to deliver on partner expectations
    • Create and demonstrate proofs of technology and proofs of concepts
    • Evangelize Red Hat solutions and provide relevant feedback to internal teams
    • Represent Red Hat at multiple technology and business forums

    Required skills

    • 10+ years of experience in JEE programming with application servers like Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP), Oracle WebLogic, and IBM WebSphere
    • Technical leadership skills and the ability to articulate and compare alternative approaches and how the technical solutions will address clients' needs and problems
    • Good presentation skills; ability to perform stage and conference presentations to small and large groups of mixed business, technical, management, and leadership audiences
    • Good understanding of the development ecosystem, including the build, development, and deployment tools like Apache Maven, Git, and integrated development environments (IDEs)
    • Experience with agile software development, DevOps, and related tools for fast application development and deployment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Willingness to travel up to 25%
    • Experience working with C-level stakeholders

    The following are considered a plus:

    • Presales, sales engineering, technical writing, and training experience
    • Knowledge of Red Hat JBoss Middleware offerings like Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite, Red Hat JBoss Fuse, and OpenShift by Red Hat
    • Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies like TOGAF or any equivalent
