    Job summary

    The Red Hat Asia Pacific (APAC) Application Practice is looking for a Senior Technical Architect for OpenShift to join us in either Bangalore, Delhi, or Mumbai, India. In this role, you will play a technical leadership part in providing solutions architecture and implementation guidance to strategic customers in the region. You'll work closely with regional and global teams, including presales, business development teams, and broader consulting teams to achieve consulting delivery excellence using a combination of existing and future Red Hat and partner solutions and services.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Lead DevOps consulting engagements, with a particular focus on integrating Red Hat and partner cloud and DevOps solutions and services
    • Assist with the implementation of solutions architecture designs by providing technical leadership to Red Hat’s in-country DevOps-focused consultants
    • Work closely with Red Hat product engineering, business development, consulting, support, and sales teams to deliver a world-class customer experience
    • Assist in the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat’s solutions and service capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and ensure delivery excellence
    • Assist with the scoping and estimation of consulting engagements by working closely with service delivery managers and DevOps partners
    • Contribute to the Red Hat Consulting team by participating in internal initiatives, creating consulting white papers, and updating the knowledge base
    • Be a senior trusted adviser to Red Hat customers and partners and play a key role in helping them develop their technology roadmap
    • Participate in Red Hat public and private speaking events focused around DevOps
    • Help kick off new projects, inform the implementation team of the project's design, and monitor the progress of a project to ensure it continues to conform to the overall architecture
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior DevOps-focused members of Red Hat’s in-country consulting practices
    • Work with DevOps partner solutions architects across APAC to define repeatable resolutions that combine Red Hat and partner technical solutions and services
    • Collaborate with the broader regional and global Red Hat teams to map emerging solutions using partner services

    Required skills

    • 8+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on a range of development and deployment projects
    • Demonstrated success in a senior technical post-sales or partner-facing role
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good English language skills
    • Proven record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels within organizations
    • Solid working knowledge of web service and microservices architectures
    • Experience architecting, designing, developing, and managing mode 1 and mode 2 applications
    • Working knowledge of enterprise portal technologies and concepts
    • Experience with enterprise data integration technologies and concepts, data grids and caching technologies and concepts, and messaging concepts and architectures
    • Demonstrated experience architecting solutions starting from business requirements
    • Working knowledge of at least one continuous integration (CI) server technology
    • Practical knowledge of at least one version control software tool
    • Solid foundation in agile development methodologies and scrum
    • Passion for open source technologies
    • Willingness to travel
    • Experience using OpenShift by Red Hat is a plus
