Job summary

Guide sales activities for Financial Services industry accounts. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Territory Account Manager to join us in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you will promote sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and manage booking numbers. You'll develop and maintain relationships within your assigned accounts and sell Red Hat's solutions and professional services. As a Territory Account Manager, you'll need to have excellent communication skills because you will regularly call customer executives within your accounts. You'll also need to know the particular issues to make call scenarios, define them, and explain how Red Hat's solutions can solve them.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Sell Red Hat's solutions and services directly and through our partners in the region to new customers; call prospective customers and identify potential opportunities with our partners
  • Create and implement account plans with internal channel sales account managers and relevant partners to accelerate Red Hat's diverse strategies
  • Manage the sales pipeline, including renewals and new business
  • Provide technical and administrative information, demonstrations, and quotes on appropriate customer prices for our offerings
  • Manage forecasts, help partners close deals, and track customer opportunities using company-standard customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Respond to calls from prospective and existing customers and partners
  • Grow existing partner relationships and promote sales programs developed for and with partners
  • Participate in internal sales training and certification programs to maintain a high level of knowledge and proficiency in Red Hat offerings and industry trends

Required skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Goal-oriented and highly motivated personality; ability to perform well under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail; creativity and ability to work as part of a team
  • 5+ years of experience exceeding sales quotas
  • Solid understanding of complete sales cycles from the prospecting to the closing of deals
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and forecast
  • Proven success implementing strategies with and through partners, preferably in a similar sales territory
  • Passion for open source technology
  • Experience selling highly technical solutions is a plus
