The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Account Solution Architect to join us in our North Sydney office.  In this role, you will be assigned Tier 1 enterprise accounts for Red Hat across the Retail, Transportation and Financial Services sectors.  Working together with an Enterprise sales account manager, as well as with Red Hat’s partners, you’ll build long-lasting relationships and expand our business in these accounts.  In this role, you will create possibilities, solve problems, and establish trusted relationships with our customers.  You will help our customers adopt solutions from across the Red Hat portfolio, giving them a competitive advantage. You will apply your technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and ability to identify and create business solutions across multiple technology platforms at the enterprise level. You’ll need to have excellent communication and people skills and serve as a technical point of contact between Red Hat, customers, and our partners on assigned accounts. 

What you will do

  • Work in partnership with the sales team providing  recommendations for the development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions to help the team achieve sales targets

  • Sustaining good relationships with partners and existing/prospective customers

  • Build, design, and present complex solutions to customers

  • Lead the technical validation process with customers, including product and solution presentations and demonstrations, technical deep dive sessions and workshops, and proofs of value

  • Collaborate with Product Management teams and the Product Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience with our products

  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for the customers, gain the confidence of IT professionals, and build long-lasting relationships within our key accounts

What you will bring

  • 8+ years of experience working as a sales engineer, consultant, or solutions architect or in a relevant role

  • Knowledge of and preferably experience with any of the Red Hat platforms like Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), or other Red Hat technologies

  • Diverse architectural and hands-on experience across both on-premise and cloud platforms and workloads. Experience in areas as diverse as virtualization and cloud management to middleware, microservices, and serverless architectures and IT automation.

  • Knowledge of DevOps and agile methodologies

  • Ability to present and have technical and business discussions with C-level executives
